Friends and family

March was filled with many visits with friends and family. First, Wendy was able to visit Jerod, April and Elijah in early March. Aunt Wendy and Elijah spent some quality time together talking about his love for electric swings, his desire to be a night owl, and his love of the Seminoles (please note the shirt!)

Then, our friends Kathy and Michael came to the Klaasen Bed and Breakfast for a few nights. We took them out on the town for East Tennesse barbeque at Phil’s Dream Pit. We also were able to hang out and catch up on all of the Indiana news.

We even relaxed inthe hot tub. Paul took this pix with his underwater camera. He put the camera underwater and then aimed the shot up at our faces outside of the tub!

Over Spring Break, Wendy was able to visit with her Aunt Janet and Aunt Debby. Janet and Debby looked great, despite some really trying months. It was wonderful to have a few meals together and spend some time together.

This red bud tree will be planted in memory of Debby's father.

Also, while in Atlanta, Wendy was able to visit with Eric Hafner. Eric is working on his Master’s degree at University of Miami. He is going to graduate in May and was networking in Nashville and Atlanta during Spring Break.

Last week Rob and Becky Muncy and Jim and Pam Lauck visited us for a few days. We planned their visit around local restaurants in our area. On Thursday night, we ate some yummy barbeque with Sonny’s sauce! Then, we ate at a local diner for Friday breakfast (including grits, biscuits and gravy!) Then, we went to a fancy restaurant (next to a gas station!) and ate scallops, crab cakes, and shrimp! What a great stomach-filling weekend with friends!

Wendy was able to visit her sister’s family last week. We had such an amazing time hanging out with Wendy’s mom and grandma. April and Elijah Luke took Grandma B.J., Granny J., and Aunt Wendy all around Austin. We had such a great time.

Four generations - Great-Grandma B.J., Granny J., Mommy April, and baby Elijah Luke - pose infront of a small waterfall in a park in April and Jerod's neighborhood. We took a stroll around the neighborhood. The community has so many open green spaces. It is going to be a great place for Elijah to grow up.

April and Jerod make such great parents. April is so caring and attentive to Elijah. She gives him baths and changes his diaper without complaints. Jerod talks to Elijah and plays with him often. Both of them are really going to be the "cool" parents that every kid would want to have - strict, but fun.

Speaking of the cool parents. . . Look at Eli with his mom and dad:img_4837

Granny J. was also really sweet with Elijah. When I look at pictures of Granny J. when she was little, it seems like Elijah has many of her physcial characteristics.
Granny J. loves her grandson.

Don't you see the family resemblance.

Hello from Paul and Wendy!

Welcome to our blog. We wanted to find a cool way to share our stories and pictures with our friends worldwide.

Wendy’s sister and brother-in-law, April and Jerod, have a really awesome blog on WorldPress (check it out at http://instride.wordpress.com/) so we visited the WordPress site as well and set up our own. Check back here later for additional stories and pictures about our lives.
